Online in Ontario
Cascades Casino and playing online
Cascades Casino North Bay is a land-based casino, and none of its pages offers online play of its own. Online casinos in Ontario follow a separate set of rules, and this page sets them out in order.

Who may run a casino site in Ontario
In Ontario, a private online casino is lawful only if it clears two requirements. It must be registered by the AGCO, the regulator, and must have an operating agreement in place with iGaming Ontario. Those sites are listed at igamingontario.ca, and the desk recommends looking up a name there before anything else. The regulated market opened on April 4, 2022.
OLG.ca is a different matter: OLG operates it as the online casino of the Ontario government. Every site in this market, OLG.ca among them, is limited to adults 19 and over who are physically in Ontario. Cascades Casino North Bay does not work that way. Its pages offer no online casino play, so a night on Pinewood Park Drive and an online account have nothing to do with each other.
Stepping back from online sites
BetGuard, found at betguard.ca, is the one-step online self-exclusion run by iGaming Ontario. A single registration removes a person aged 19 or over from all regulated Ontario gambling sites, including OLG.ca. The break may be 6 months, 1 year or 5 years long, or run for a term the person chooses.
Land-based casinos, Cascades Casino North Bay included, fall outside its reach. They are covered by OLG's My PlayBreak instead. A break of 3 or 6 months, or of 1 to 5 years, bars a person from every casino in Ontario. To enrol, contact the OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098, ask casino staff or speak with a PlaySmart Centre coordinator.
The Ad links and the commission
Paid links appear on the home page only, and each one carries the label Ad. There are three: the button in the header, a block under the first screen and a block near the bottom. All of them lead to one private online casino partner, which pays this guide a commission and may be replaced.
That partner is not OLG.ca. It has no tie to Cascades Casino North Bay, to Gateway Casinos & Entertainment or to OLG. Neither does this guide, which takes no bets and opens no accounts. Any online operator, this partner included, can be checked in the iGaming Ontario directory at igamingontario.ca.
Asked at the desk
- Does Cascades Casino North Bay run a website for online play?
- No such site exists. Cascades Casino North Bay is a land-based casino, and none of its pages offers online casino play.
- Where is the list of legal online casinos in Ontario?
- iGaming Ontario publishes it at igamingontario.ca. A private site is legal only when the AGCO has registered it and it holds an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario.
- Can someone visiting from Quebec play online while in North Bay?
- The rule looks at where the player is. Ontario's regulated sites are for people 19 or older who are physically in Ontario, and North Bay is in Ontario.
- Does BetGuard keep a person out of the casino on Pinewood Park Drive?
- BetGuard does not reach the casino. It covers regulated online sites, OLG.ca included, and land-based casinos are outside it. My PlayBreak, OLG's self-exclusion for casinos on the ground, is the program that covers the venue.
